Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site — and tell us when we fall short.

Our Commitment
God is Great LLC dba Nate's Diner is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our guide, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing practice built into how we design and update the site — not a one-time checklist.
What We Do
- Semantic structure — proper headings, landmarks, lists, and labels so screen readers and keyboard users get a clear, logical page structure.
- Keyboard navigation — interactive elements (links, buttons, menus) are reachable and operable by keyboard alone, in a sensible order.
- Visible focus — focus indicators are clear on interactive elements. We don’t suppress them.
- Descriptive alt text — meaningful images, including menu and food photos, carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology so they don’t add noise.
- Color contrast — text-to-background contrast is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
- Responsive layout — content reflows for small screens and for browser zoom without loss of information or horizontal scrolling.
- Text-based menu — our full menu, prices, and allergen notice are published as real text, not images, so they can be read aloud, resized, and translated.
At the Diner
Our Houston location has ground-level entry, accessible parking, and an accessible restroom. Service animals are always welcome. If there’s anything else we can do to make your visit easier, just ask your server or call ahead.
What We’re Still Working On
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Known gaps at this time include:
- A dedicated “skip to content” link isn’t yet available on every page for keyboard and screen-reader users to bypass repeated navigation.
- Some animated and decorative elements (the home-page photo slider and review carousel) don’t yet respond to a visitor’s “reduce motion” system setting.
- Newer pages and components are reviewed for accessibility as they’re built, but we haven’t completed a formal, page-by-page audit of the entire site.
- Embedded third-party services (see below) follow their own providers’ accessibility standards, which we don’t control.
We prioritize fixes as we learn about them — reports from real guests are one of the most useful ways we find these gaps.
Compatible Tools
We aim for this site to work well with current versions of major web browsers, screen readers, and other assistive technology, and with keyboard-only navigation. Older or less common browsers and assistive tools may still work, but we don’t test against every combination.
Third-Party Services
Parts of the site interact with third-party services that we do not control — including online ordering (ReddyOrder), delivery apps, the website chat, maps, and directions. Their accessibility is governed by those services, not this statement. If a barrier on one of those services blocks you from using Nate's Diner, call us at (832) 286-1609 — we’ll take your order over the phone instead.
Reporting a Barrier
If something on this site stops you from doing what you came here to do — or makes it harder than it should be — we want to know.
- Phone: (832) 286-1609
- Mail: God is Great LLC dba Nate's Diner, 11509 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77067
- In person: ask for a manager at the diner during open hours.
Tell us, if you can:
- The page URL where you hit the barrier.
- What you were trying to do.
- The browser, device, and assistive technology you were using (if you know).
We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days and to address high-impact issues within 30 days of being reported.
