This policy describes what information we collect through natesdiner.com and our ordering, messaging, and text-marketing partners, how we use it, and your choices.
2. Personal Information We Collect & Why
a. Chat & contact details. When you use the chat window on this site, we collect what you enter — typically your name, phone number, email address, and your message. We use this to answer you and, if you asked, to arrange a catering or large-party order.
b. Online ordering & text-marketing data (ReddyOrder). If you order online or opt in to text marketing through ReddyOrder, ReddyOrder collects your order, payment, and contact details directly and shares the account and order information we need to fulfill your order and run our promotions. We never see or store your full payment card number. This data is primarily governed by ReddyOrder’s own privacy policy.
c. Technical & analytics data. Our hosting and analytics tools record standard technical data about visits — pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate geographic region. We use it in aggregate to understand how guests use the site and to fix problems, not to identify you.
d. Cookies. See Section 4 below.
We don’t require an account to browse the site, and we don’t collect payment information on natesdiner.com.
3. Sources of Personal Information
- Directly from you — when you use the chat, call us, place an online order, or opt in to text marketing through ReddyOrder.
- Automatically — through cookies, server logs, and analytics tools as you browse the site.
- From our service providers — including ReddyOrder — who pass along the information needed to fulfill orders and run the text-marketing program.
We do not buy personal information from data brokers or third-party lists.
4. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
- Essential cookies and storage keep the site and the chat window working (for example, remembering an open chat conversation).
- Analytics cookies are used for usage measurement only.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not use ad-tech cookies or pixels on this site, and we do not run retargeting campaigns from it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the chat window from working correctly.
5. How Long We Keep Personal Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, and meet legal obligations. Chat conversations and catering requests are kept long enough to handle your request and for our own recordkeeping, then are periodically deleted. If you’d like your information removed sooner, contact us and we’ll do so unless we’re legally required to keep it.

Why: So we can reply to your questions and follow up on catering or large-party requests.
Online orders & SMS opt-in
Goes to: ReddyOrder — our ordering and text-marketing partner
Why: So online orders are fulfilled and text-marketing opt-in is honored.
Delivery orders
Goes to: The delivery app you choose (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.)
Why: So your food gets to you. Those apps collect this data directly.
Technical & usage data
Goes to: Our website hosting and analytics providers
Why: So the site stays online and we can see traffic patterns and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share it with outside marketers beyond the service providers listed above and the text-marketing program you’ve opted into. We may also disclose information if required by law.
7. Your Privacy Rights (All Visitors)
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you what personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information from our records (subject to any legal record-keeping requirements).
- Stop sending marketing texts or messages to you (reply STOP, or contact us).
Contact us using the details in Section 16 with any of these requests. We will respond within 45 days of receiving your request.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we’ve collected about you, to request deletion or correction of that information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16.
9. Texas & Other State Privacy Rights
If you live in Texas (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act) or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have rights similar to those above — including the right to know, correct, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16.
10. SMS Marketing Preferences
If you’ve opted in to text marketing through ReddyOrder, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by updating your preferences inside ReddyOrder. We don’t manage SMS marketing opt-in or opt-out directly, since enrollment happens on ReddyOrder’s platform — see Section 9 of our Terms of Service for details. Texts we send to reply to a chat or confirm a catering order can also be stopped by replying STOP.
11. Third-Party Sites and Services
Parts of your experience with Nate's Dinerhappen on services we don’t control: ReddyOrder (online ordering and text marketing), third-party delivery apps, our chat provider, Google and Yelp (reviews and directions), OpenStreetMap (maps), and our Facebook page. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. We encourage you to review those policies before sharing information with them.
12. Security of Your Personal Data
We use HTTPS (TLS) on all pages of this site. Our service providers, including ReddyOrder, maintain their own security programs. No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users of any material breach as required by law.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our chat, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Where We Process Your Information
Our service providers may store data outside Texas. By using the site or our ordering, messaging, and text-marketing partners, you consent to your information being processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where those providers operate.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
